The Society of Cardiovascular Anesthesiologists (SCA) is an international organization of over 5,000 cardiac, thoracic, and vascular anesthesiologists that promotes excellence in clinical care, education, and research in the subspecialty. SCA conducts three meetings per year with excellent opportunities for commercial supporters to support the educational and scientific programs and gain exposure to the membership and registrants through exhibits, satellite symposia, and sponsored activities. Exhibitors gain exposure at the meetings and are also recognized in the syllabus, newsletters, on signage and may provide product descriptions and links on the SCA website which receives approx. 74,000 hits per month.

Sessions are devoted to focused topics of interest: pathophysiology, organ protection, hematologic considerations, new technologies, critical care, pediatrics, heart failure, aortic disease, coronary artery revascularization, transesophageal echocardiography and others. Unofficial Satellite Symposia are activities independently organized, offered, and/or accredited by an organization other than the Society of Cardiovascular Anesthesiologists (SCA). Symposia may be accredited or may not be accredited

Satellite Symposium Available Times

This is the official annual meeting of SCA with:

650 – 1,000 registrants. Primarily anesthesiologists (plus surgeons, perfusionists, Also includes RNs and residents) Up to 40 Sponsors/Exhibitors. Topics include valvular heart disease, challenges in hemostasis, DHCA, thoracic anesthesia, congestive heart failure, pediatric anesthesia, thoracic aortic surgery, geriatric anesthesia, critical care anesthesia, perioperative complications, cardiac patients having non-cardiac surgery, regional anesthesia in the cardiovascular patient, transesophageal echocardiography, cardiopulmonary bypass. Breaks, meals and receptions are in the exhibit hall.
