Belmont Instrument CorporationFor 25 years, Belmont Instrument Corporation has set new standards for safety, performance, and innovation for critical care devices. In 1999 we introduced the FMS 2000 Fluid Management System, for rapid fluid replacement for massive blood loss during surgery and trauma. The FMS features a built-in volumetric pump for precise control of flow rate, and reliable and redundant air detection and removal to prevent air embolism. Its many safety features enable OR personnel to focus on the patient, and not the system.
More recently we introduced the Belmont buddy™ blood and fluid warmer, which features close-to-the-patient warming to minimize heat loss in the patient line, without a water bath. The buddy™ warmer also features a very small priming volume, a check valve to prevent backflow, and a large surface area microporous membrane to automatically vent air from crystalloid. All of this in a low cost and compact system.
