Expanding the Horizons of Pediatric Sedation

The Society for Pediatric Sedation will host its annual conference on Pediatric Sedation, May 20-22, 2012 at the Wyndham Hotel, Cleveland, OH. The conference draws approx. 180 to 300 sedation providers from children’s hospitals around the country. Of the total participants, 55% are physicians, 30% nurses/nurse practitioners and 15% are allied health.
Since its inception in 2007, the Society has gained approximately 514 members. This is the only society for sedation providers that encourages membership from all disciplines involved in the sedation of children. Their mission is to improve overall care and safety during sedation and the advancement of research in the field of pediatric sedation.
